After brunch at Salty’s, my tour of Portland begins in Laurelhurst. Next is the Belmont district and on over to Mt Tabor before ending at 82nd ave. LaurelHurst is a historic district in the heart of Portland with treelined streets, old homes, hole in the wall bars and restaurants with a smattering of new apartment buildings. It is adjacent to LaurelHurst Park that has a sparkling blue lake. I’m not sure why it is so blue, but there have been recent efforts to clean up and restore the lake.
